Ascend Academy is an educational collaboration between the Passaic City School District and the NRESC providing additional flexibility for under-credited students in grades 10-12. The program offers the students the opportunity to continue their high school education and path to graduation.
Operating from 4-8:30 pm, Ascend offers an alternative to students with work and family obligations that affect their ability to attend a traditional high school program. Ascend provides these students a chance to achieve their goal of attaining a high school diploma without sacrificing the critical needs of their families.
As an added convenience, students have the ability to participate in a hybrid learning environment supported by traditional support services; certified teachers, a school counselor, and a school social worker.
