• Second Home LogoThe Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC) has been approved as a day habilitation and therapy service provider by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Second Home Day Habilitation Center provides individuals who are medically fragile and non-behavioral with day habilitation services. The NRESC also offers occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy for post-21 adults, available upon request to enrolled participants. 

    On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Second Home hosted a special event, Support Coordination Agency and Resource Fair followed by a presentation by Lisa McCauley Parles, Esq. of Parles Rekem, LLP titled Navigating the Transition to Adult Services. 

    Lisa McCauley Parles, Esq., is a partner in the Clark, New Jersey law firm Parles Rekem, LLP, and the parent of a 33-year-old son with autism. Her practice focuses on representing individuals with disabilities and their families in the areas of early intervention, special education, transition, and adult services, residential placements, reasonable accommodations, insurance coverage, and guardianships. Lisa has been in private practice for over 30 years and has an extensive presentation history. She is a frequent lecturer and has appeared in numerous television and radio broadcasts, including Nightline and ABC World News Tonight. She has participated as a panelist and moderator for numerous continuing legal education seminars and has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and bar association publications.
