Officers
Christina Scano
An innovative educator with more than two decades of experience as a tutor, coach, classroom teacher, and school administrator, Christina honed her skills as an expert in Charter School development and management at the helm of the John P. Holland School. Founded with the mission of providing effective classroom instruction so that every child can achieve their highest aspirations both academically and civically, the John P. Holland School is a testament to the high levels of student success generated by Christina's slow progression growth model. Once told she would never lead her own Charter School, Christina is a champion for those who share her dream now that she has achieved it herself, offering her specialized expertise in education and school administration.
Diana Lobosco
Diana C. Lobosco spent 37 years working at the Passaic County Technical Vocational School District (PCTVSD), serving as its Superintendent from 1995-2020. Through her far-reaching vision and dedicated leadership, PCTVS was transformed into New Jersey’s largest school of its kind, meeting the academic, career and technical demands of over 4,000 Passaic County students each year. As a staunch advocate of Career and Technical Education (CTE), under Lobosco’s leadership traditional CTE offerings expanded, while new offerings like the School of Performing Arts, the Academy of Finance, and the School of Engineering Technology were added. Increased academic rigor, cutting-edge technology, and expanded athletic and extracurricular activities were hallmarks of her tenure as Superintendent. Her most notable achievement, however, was the creation of the STEM Academy. With its unveiling in 2018, the 110,000-square-foot facility was appropriately dedicated in her honor, given her vision and tenacity from its early development as a seminal idea until its fruition as a world class instructional model. Recognizing the emergence and 21st-century demand for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, she led the charge to expand opportunities for all Passaic County students to become critical thinkers and community leaders in these new, emerging vocational areas. With its unique interdisciplinary approach and program-based learning model, the STEM Academy is helping to create the next generation of knowledgeable, productive, and socially-conscious global leaders.
From 2008-2020, through an interlocal agreement between PCTVS and the NRESC, Diana C. Lobosco also served as the NRESC's Superintendent. Lobosco took over as the Superintendent of the NRESC during a chaotic time for the Commission; however, upon her retirement in 2020, she helped set the stage for the NRESC to return to autonomous governance in 2021.
Alexis Bermudez
Born and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey, however Passaic County pulls at her heart strings! With over 22 years of educational experience (all in Paterson Public Schools); inclusive of being a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, English Language Arts Supervisor, and Vice Principal, Mrs. Bermudez always knew she wanted to be in the field of education. Growing up in an inner city, she was inspired by former teachers and in return, she knew she wanted to make a difference in the lives of urban youth.
Jeff Agnello
Jeffrey Agnello knew that he had a passion for hair ever since he was a child. Beginning at a young age, he always paid extra attention to the look of his hair, and never left the house without styling it first. Upon finishing high school, he attended cosmetology school and finished as quickly as possible, because he was so driven to begin his career as a barber. After passing the state board examination on the first try, Jeffrey got his license in cosmetology and was ready to go! He continued working for a barber shop in the area until he decided to open his own barber shop (City Image Barber Shop) in Little Falls, NJ in November 2009. In October of 2013. after seeing success in Passaic County, Jeff decided to open up the second City Image Barber Shop location in the town of Oradell, NJ. He knew that he could bring the City Image styled hair cuts to the Bergen County suburb, and that is what he did! Jeff did not stop there though, in July 2016, City Image Barber Shop opened its third location in Sussex County, in the town of Newton, NJ. Since then, City Image has expanded to 9 Locations in in 5 Counties in NEW JERSEY.
