Skylands School is a full day program dedicated to providing the finest possible educational experience for children identified as Multiple Disabled and/or Medically Fragile. The mission of our school is to maximize each student’s education by providing a highly structured, individualized, and caring learning environment. A transdisciplinary team approach is utilized whereby all team members – Special Education Teacher, Speech & Language Specialist, Occupational and Physical Therapist, Registered Nurse, Behavior Analyst, and Teacher Assistants – work together towards the development and implementation of curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.

  • Positive personal relationship between staff, students, and their families
  • Mobility Opportunities Via Education (M.O.V.E.)
  • Flexible enrollment to accommodate students attending part-time or students transitioning back into their home district
  • Availability of Extended School Year (4-hour school day)
    • Extensive sensory integration training in a multi-sensory environment

This is the opportunity for a Multiply Disabled and/or Medically Fragile student to be placed in a full day school program that individualizes to meet each student’s special needs throughout the school day.
